Bre and I were recently invited to Oshkosh, WI – and we didn’t know what to expect.
My only real experience there had been quick stops at Fifth Ward Brewing on the way back from up north. It’s not the go-to getaway spot for most Milwaukeeans.
Needless to say, we made the most of our 48 hours, hitting over 20 local spots. Here’s what we thought and here are some highlights:
- The Airbnb right on Lake Winnebago
This is Wisconsin’s largest inland lake! The view was amazing, and it was perfect for us. - Main Street
A long street with plenty of bars, shops, and restaurants, and a mix of old-school spots and newer businesses. - The EAA Museum
Our minds were blown walking through this place, and we look forward to going back. They also offer plane rides! - Supper Clubs
We checked out the iconic Roxy Supper Club, then got tipped off (shoutout Keegan, Oshkosh native) to a hidden gem: Jeff’s on Rugby. Both delivered. - Oshkosh Country Club
Filmed a “Scratch Golfer vs. Osh CC” 4-hole challenge. Bonus: an awesome steakhouse inside the clubhouse - Breweries/Distilleries/Cideries
Sunken Paddle Ciderworks, Fifth Ward, Sturgeon Spirits, Fox River… and still missed a couple we wanted to hit. Next time, Bare Bones. - The Lakefront
Oshkosh really leans into it. Menominee Park Zoo, TJ’s Harbor Restaurant, Pioneer Point, and Ardy & Ed’s – a classic old-school drive-in.
