If summer in Milwaukee had a flavor, this would be it.

We teamed up with 3 Sheeps Brewing – the Sheboygan powerhouse now pouring in its new Milwaukee “Triple Taproom” on North Ave – to can a limited-run Tropical Pale Ale loaded with citrus, sunshine, and a kiss of hop bite.

The beer is out in the wild right now at the spots below, but once the kegs kick, that’s it. No do-overs, no backorders. Grab your pint while you can.

Downtown & Third Ward

Old World Third and the RiverWalk are practically swimming in Uncut Ale right now—look for the neon sheep-head tap handles at:

East Side

Head up the hill, snag a lake breeze, and hit:

Walker’s Point / Fifth Ward

Tacos, vinyl, and a fresh Tropical Pale Ale? Yes, chef.

Bay View & St. Francis

For the “Beer Line” crowd who never ventures north of KK:

North Shore & Northern ’Burbs

A quick hop up I-43 (or the Oak Leaf Trail if you’re ambitious):

Menomonee Falls

Milwaukee Suburbs

From Oak Creek to Waukesha, the southlands are stocked:

Road-Trip Options

Because every road trip needs a trophy beer:

Launch Party

Date: Wednesday, July 9, 5 – 9 p.m.
Venue: Triple Taproom & Kitchen, 2018 E North Ave, Milwaukee
Ticket: Free with RSVP — includes your first pint on us.

First pours, DJ beats, merch drops, giveaways, and enough citrus-forward Pale Ale to make you forget winter ever existed.

Not a hop-head? Triple Taproom slings cocktails and Hacienda fare too. RSVP early—capacity’s capped.

About the Collab

3 Sheeps started brewing in a Sheboygan basement in 2012 and has grown into Wisconsin’s fourth-largest craft brewery, known for fresh, approachable beers like Fresh Coast and Waterslides IPA.

For our first collab we dialed in a 5.5% ABV Tropical Pale Ale: bright tangerine on the nose, mango in the middle, and a crisp, clean finish that begs for the next sip.

Don’t Miss Your Pour

This is a one-batch wonder. Once the kegs blow and the cans disappear, you’ll be telling your grandkids you “had it on draft back in ’25.”

So plan your bar crawl, mark your calendar for July 9, and raise a glass to Milwaukee summer—Uncut and unapologetic.

Milwaukee only has three seasons: Winter, Summer, and Waiting-for-Summer.

We don’t wait for Lake Michigan to stop acting like an ice bath though. At the first sign of consistent 50°F+ the city explodes with patio brunches, lakeside festivals, beer-gardens, and music everywhere from rooftops to riverbanks.

Whether you’re a lifelong local or the new kid in Cream City, here’s how to milk every glorious degree out of the hottest months.

Patio & Rooftop Dining

Nothing says “Milwaukee summer” like a cold local lager under Edison bulbs. Patios here range from hidden-garden romantic to skyline rooftop hype.

Spot Neighborhood Vibe Evergreen Tip
Harbor House Downtown Upscale seafood + sweeping lake views Reserve golden-hour tables 30 + days out.
Café Benelux Historic Third Ward Euro-inspired brunch, rooftop fire pits Order the “Beer-mosa.”
Good City Brewing — Deer District Deer District Brewer-owned craft beer near Fiserv Ideal pre-show stop.
Drink Wisconsinbly Pub Deer District Up-north-cabin charm, boozy slushies & a street-level deck Daily Old Fashioned slushy once patios open in May.
La Merenda Walker’s Point Global tapas in a herb garden Chef tasting flights rotate seasonally.
3 Sheeps Triple Taproom East Side Collab taproom, 10 + lines, sidewalk & alley patio Patio season starts early May.
The Harp Downtown Riverwalk Classic Irish pub with a sprawling deck Live-music Sundays May–Oct.
Central Standard Crafthouse “Aviary” Third Ward Rooftop cocktails + skyline sunsets Rooftop opens each May with live bands.

Beaches & Lakefront Fun

Milwaukee’s coastline delivers surprisingly Caribbean-blue days when the sun hits right. Top picks:

  • Bradford Beach – Volleyball leagues, tiki bar, DJ sets.
  • Atwater Beach – Shorewood bluffs + sunrise stair-sprints.
  • South Shore – Laid-back swimming & sailboat views.
  • Doctors Park (Tietjen Beach) – Secluded north-county stretch perfect for hammocks.

Gear Up: Rent stand-up paddleboards or kayaks from Milwaukee Kayak Co. at the Urban Ecology Center dock. Dawn paddles = flat water, zero boat wake.

Iconic Beer Gardens

Milwaukee basically exported the beer-garden concept to America—fight us. Current favorites:

Beer Garden Neighborhood Typical Season Signature Pour
Estabrook Park Glendale Early May-Oct Hofbräu Original by the liter
South Shore Terrace Bay View Mid-May-Sep Lake-view pints of MKE Brewing Louie’s
War Memorial Downtown Late May-Oct Loaded Brats with the Milwaukee Art Museum backdrop
The Vine Humboldt Bay View May-Oct Wine, too! Raise a rosé among 100-year oaks
Hubbard Park Shorewood Late May-Oct Friday fish-fry + Märzen mugs

Take tram, bike, or rideshare—parking goes from tight to full by 6 p.m. on Fridays.

Can’t-Miss Summer Festivals

Milwaukee’s “City of Festivals” nickname isn’t marketing fluff—there’s literally one every weekend.

Festival 2025 Dates Why Go

Low-Key Local Gems

  • Full-Moon Bike Raid – Informal costumed group ride, meets at North Point Lighthouse.
  • Milwaukee Hurling Club Matches – Sunday mornings, Brown Deer Park—fastest game on grass.
