Meet Audriana (Audri) Fedrigon, our Milwaukeean of the Week! She’s a fitness fanatic, dog mom, and community-oriented individual hoping to make a positive impact on anyone and everyone she comes across.
She grew up in the Racine and Mount Pleasant area and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where she studied business.
She knew she wanted to get into her family’s business, but their policy of working somewhere else for 3 years before joining the company meant she had to find somewhere else to work after college. You’ll hear more about her path to joining the family business, as well as an unexpected side gig she took on after discovering her passion for health and wellness.
Whether Audri is working, running, or coaching, her smile, energy, and motivation are contagious, providing a welcoming space for anyone looking to start their fitness journey. After reading our Q&A with her, we guarantee you’ll find the motivation for anything you’re looking to do.
Any stories from your youth that define your path – how’d you get to where you are now? Early inspirations, challenges, etc?
I was always in sports growing up and loved being part of the team but never saw myself as an athlete. I always felt average and overlooked. I used to think that you had to be born with talent. I couldn’t even run a mile 2 years ago and now I’m about to run my second half marathon in a couple weeks! Running has taught me that you don’t have to be born good at something, that if you put in the work and discipline you can get better, you can reach your goals, and you can even surpass them!
My first half I wanted to do sub 2, and I ran a 1:53. I have had a couple injuries so couldn’t run the MKE marathon but have been able to adapt my training and ready to PR lakefront!! I’m also training for Hyrox in Chicago and Dallas so training for lakefront has helped me prepare for those races too!
What do you do for work now?
Sales & Marketing at Beckart Environmental (family company my grandpa started). On the side, I do online fitness and nutrition coaching with 1st Phorm as well as community events with MKE Fit Fair.
Can you talk a little bit about your career journey? How’d you get to where you are now?
I studied business in college and worked for Sherwin-Williams right out of college. I moved my way up from the stores to a sales position. My family had a rule that we had to get 3 years of outside experience before working for the family business.
I ended up loving the culture and community at Sherwin so I stayed for 6 years, then made the switch to work with my family. Then I found my passion for fitness and helping others with their fitness goals due to my own 50lb weight loss journey! That’s what led me to working with 1st Phorm in their app coaching and the MKE Fit fair!
Can you talk more about your community involvement or volunteer experience?
I’ve always had a passion for volunteering and meeting new people. Back in college, I volunteered with AMA and loved it. Since then, I’ve continued to seek out opportunities to serve, whether it was painting homes in Milwaukee with Sherwin-Williams or packing meals and helping at events through my church.
When I started with 1st Phorm, I saw firsthand how fulfilling it is to be part of a community that pushes one another to grow not just in fitness, but in life. That inspired me to create and find more of that here in Milwaukee. I joined my first run club (shoutout to City Limits!) and discovered how fun running and fitness can be when it’s centered around community!!
I’ve been able to take that passion further by working with the MKE Fit Fair to help put on monthly wellness events. It’s been so rewarding to create a space where people can connect, move their bodies, and feel supported in their health and fitness journey. (And honestly, I have to pinch myself that I get to do this!)
What do you want to see for Milwaukee’s future?
More community partnerships and collaboration for local events! The more we support each other, the more people we can help find their space in health and fitness. Because the biggest deterrent to coming to events or local run club or fitness class, was feeling like you don’t belong. It only takes that one invite, that one event to change someone’s life. And that ripples into the entire community!
Anything else we should know about you, your job, community involvement, or life in general?
I offer a free Facebook group for people looking for community. I host challenges, provide fitness and nutrition education, and post local events to bring people together in the community, not just online. I am looking to grow more in this community, so I’m just happy to be here!
But also, every event is better with dogs and caffeine (I have two big goldendoodles who come with me to run club and a caffeine addiction) so, if there’s dogs or coffee, I’m there!
