Story time from Richie
Well, Bre and I came up with the brilliant idea to drive to Minnesota, get some great content, and come home with a W. It didn’t exactly go as planned.
It was a beautiful Sunday; we were feeling good and got an early start. We got into Minneapolis around 11 a.m. with zero traffic, parked in the Mill District, and walked over to the Crooked Pint.
After a couple of drinks, a Rumpies shot in honor of our teammate Erica Finke (no idea how she does it), and a round of pull tabs – we won $0 – we made our way over to US Bank Stadium.
We made friends with some Packer fans from New Zealand who recognized the show and interviewed about 10 different groups of Vikings fans at the bar Off the Rails and at a concert that was happening in an area right outside the stadium. Other than getting yelled “SKOL!” at several times, the Vikings fans were actually surprisingly friendly.
Then we walked into the stadium….
U.S. Bank Stadium is actually really nice (other than that horn). Massive, too. It feels weird complimenting the Vikings, but we have to give credit where it’s due.
We found our seats, settled in, the Packers were looking great and I was excited to post some of our fan interviews during the game.
Then, midway through the second quarter, Cody – who was on editing duty – texted me.
The mics had malfunctioned on about half of our videos. Including the video Bre got with some cast members from the show Love Is Blind.
And from there… Well, I think we all know what happened. No need to rehash it.
We’ll have a full recap video coming soon, focusing on the experience, not the game, as that would be too painful, and some more clips we were able to salvage – again, on the experience, not the Packers’ performance.
